As Intershop, Inc. started their Year 2000 (Y2K) awareness and compliance program, they believed the risks posed by year 2000 date change to their business was minimal. However, Intershop senior management recognized that it was important to verify that the company was prepared to do its business in the new millennium.

Our project was to provide consulting services to Intershop at their San Francisco and 6 European offices. The services included producing a Y2K position statement and awareness campaign document, an inventory of the Intershop computer environment, a risk assessment of the items in the inventory, and a plan to address the sequence of work needed to resolve the year 2000 problem. We successfully identified several critical, key components in their Jena, Germany, office that needed replacement.
